IT’S YOU, ONLY FASTER.

When we started developing our first electric bike, we knew it had to incorporate everything we’d learned since 1974. It had to ride and feel like a great bike first—something we’d really love to ride ourselves. We wanted you to feel like you were on a "regular" bike, but somehow, you’d grown superhero legs. This core mission still hasn’t changed. It’s now, and forever will be, our promise for every Turbo: It’s You, Only Faster.

CALIFORNIAN-DESIGNED, SWISS-ENGINEERED

Taking a motor and battery off the shelf would be easy, but we don’t compromise. Instead, we develop our tech in e-bike-obsessed Cham, Switzerland and tune the ride at our Morgan Hill, California headquarters. We carve our own path to deliver e-bikes that ride like they’re truly you, only faster.

Seamless Assistance

Specialized motors are incredibly smooth, powerful, and quiet. They amplify your input and disengage when you’re over top speed or in off-mode to create a ride free of unnatural resistance. Our Mission Control App also lets you fully customize motor characteristics to your personal preferences.

SPECIALIZED E-BIKE TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM

Our Specialized e-Bike Technology System delivers smooth, powerful, and silent pedal-assistance, maximum range, and superior connectivity solutions, with every aspect of the system working in harmony with the bike. And while it’s not an easy route to go, real innovation rarely is.

Custom Connectivity

Turbos are smart bikes that connect your bike via ANT+ and/or Bluetooth® to our very own Mission Control App, Turbo Connect Display (TCD), or your other favorite third-party displays, devices, or apps. With our superior connectivity solutions, it’s up to you to decide how you want to ride.

Ride Anywhere

With best-in-class range, all Specialized batteries feature intuitive charging solutions and an advanced Battery Management System (BMS) that ensures optimal performance for a longer battery lifetime.

There's a Specialized Bicycle for everyone.

People for Bikes

Electric bicycle (e-bike) laws are different in every state, and can be confusing for consumers, retailers, and suppliers. The Bicycle Product Suppliers Association and PeopleForBikes are partnering to make riding an e-bike easy and accessible for all.

With clear rules on how and where to ride an e-bike, everyone stands to benefit. Local bicycle shops and manufacturers will see increased business and their customers will no longer be confused; people who already ride e-bikes can more easily understand where to ride; and new bicyclists who may be discouraged from riding a traditional bicycle due to limited physical fitness, age, disability or convenience will have improved transportation alternatives.

Rides + Routes

We want to help build a responsible, respectful user base of eMTB riders who ride on trails that are clearly open to eMTBs. That means motorized singletrack, doubletrack, primitive roads, and other areas that are open to motor vehicles, or that allow eMTBs on non-motorized bicycle trails. And while we’d love to be on the ground advocating for eMTB access, we rely on local advocates to help promote eMTBs and decide, with land management agencies, where they belong. We advocate for local-level decisions on where eMTBs should and should not be allowed, so use the playbook below for a step by step guide to advocating for eMTB access.

Tahoe-Pyramid Trail

The Tahoe-Pyramid Trail (abbreviated as ‘TPT’) is based on a vision for a trail that would follow the entire length of the Truckee River, from its source at forested Lake Tahoe (6225′) to the desert terminus of Pyramid Lake (3796′). The current route can be traveled by foot or by bicycle, and when fully completed, will descend over 2000 feet during the entire course of the 114-mile long trail, using a combination of existing dirt and paved roads, bike paths, historic roads, as well as many new sections of trail and connecting bridges.
